How do I set up my New York Times access? (Students)

Answer

For Students (no prior account)

1. On the Norwalk campus library page at https://library.ctstate.edu/Norwalk, click on Databases by Subject.

2. On the Databases by Subject page, scroll down and click on "New York Times Online Edition" under Newspapers.

3. Create a new account using your student email, which can be found by logging into myCTState and viewing/accessing college email (i.e. abcde001@mail.ct.edu).

4. Make sure to use a password that is both secure and memorable

5. Select "student" and enter your expected graduation year

6. Hit "get started" and continue with the setup process

7. Adjust your personal preferences

8. If you are accessing the New York Times from a device other than your phone, use the provided QR code to connect

9. Enjoy reading your favorite news articles!

Troubleshooting:

• Remember to use your college email to sign up for your account (i.e. abcde001@mail.ct.edu)

• If you encounter any issues gaining access, allow at least 24 hours to pass and check your junk folder for any important emails.
