How can I find an article that is referenced at the end of an article?

I'd like to read the article that's in the works cited list at the end of an article. How do I find it?

Answer

If you'd like to find an article referenced in a Works Cited list or Bibliography, try the Citation Linker tool in the library catalog. For best results, include the journal title, volume, issue and start page (if there is one). You can also enter the ISBN, ISSN, or DOI (Digital Object Identifier).

For example:

Journal title: American Historical Review

Volume: 103

Issue: 1

Start page: 125

Citation Linker will provide a link to the full-text article if it is available. If the title isn't available through the Damato Library, a link to the interlibrary loan article request form will display. If you fill out the form, the library staff will get a copy for you from another library.
