How can I tell if the Library has a magazine or journal I need for my assignment?

My professor told us we need to use articles from the Wall Street Journal and Forbes for our papers. How can I find them?

Answer

Search the library catalog by entering words from the title (ex. Wired). If the journal or magazine is available online, an "Online access" link will appear. If the title is located in our print journal collection, the location will be listed as "PERIODICAL COLLECTION".

For the print versions of academic or scholarly journals, the Library keeps a backfile of issues from the last 5 years. For popular magazines (ex. Wired, Rolling Stone), the Library keeps a 3-year backfile.
