How do I access the Westlaw database?

Part 1: Request Westlaw Registration Key
Housatonic students and faculty: fill out the Housatonic Campus Westlaw Access Request form with your college email account. Please note that it may take up to 4 business days for your request to be processed.
Part 2: Access Westlaw
1) After your request has been processed by the Housatonic Campus Library, you will receive an email from Thomson Reuters, the vendor for Westlaw, entitled Thomson Reuters Access Confirmation. This email will provide you a link to request your personal Registration Key. Click Register to start the registration process.
2) Type a Custom Label (such as your initials) and your college email address into the registration form and click Continue.
3) Create your OnePass Profile. Be sure to use your college email address. Click Continue.
4) Choose a username and password and set up a security question to complete your profile. Click Create.
5) Once you see Registration Complete! appear on your screen, click Continue to Westlaw to sign in to Westlaw Classic.
6) Agree to the terms and conditions set by Thomson Reuters Westlaw.
7) Type in a Client ID and click Continue.
8) You should now be at the main Westlaw screen. For future use, go directly to westlaw.com.

A registration key allows you to activate a product using your OnePass account.

OnePass is the online record of the username and password you personally select to access Thomson Reuters products, and allows you to sign on to multiple Thomson Reuters products with a single username and password.
Already have OnePass?
A registration key allows you to tie each Thomson Reuters product or service within your subscription to your OnePass.
