Can I have more information on the Physical Resources Sharing Partnership: CSCU & SUNY?

Answer

  1. Which SUNY libraries are participating in the physical materials resources sharing with the Housatonic Campus Library and CSCU libraries?

The following SUNY libraries are participating in the physical resource sharing partnership:

  • Binghamton University
  • Cayuga Community College
  • Corning Community College
  • Empire State College
  • Jefferson Community College
  • Onondaga Community College
  • Tompkins-Cortland Community College
  • University at Albany
  • University at Buffalo
  • Upstate Medical University
  • Westchester Community College
  1. When can I request physical resources from SUNY libraries?

There are two situations that may trigger a request for physical resources from SUNY libraries:

  • When you search the Housatonic Campus Library Catalog for a physical title and find that it is not available at Housatonic Campus Library or any CSCU consortium libraries, but is available at a SUNY library, you can request the title through the Housatonic Campus Library Online Catalog using your login credentials.
  • If you find a title that you want to borrow from a SUNY library that participates in physical resource sharing with the CSCU Consortium, you can submit a resource sharing request via the Housatonic Campus Library Interlibrary Loan Request Form or contact Mark Gore at (203) 332.5069 or mgore@hcc.commnet.edu.

We hope this partnership with the SUNY Library Consortium will enhance access to a wider range of resources for our library users. If you have any further questions or need assistance with requesting resources, please don't hesitate to reach out to library staff for help.
