How to Sign Up for the New York Times
Please go to the library homepage: Housatonic.edu/library, then follow the steps below at the homepage:
- Scroll down to find and click on New York Times icon or the words NY Times Sign Up
- If you see a CSCU login screen, use your school ID and password to log in.
- After login, you should reach the NYT Welcome screen that looks like this:
Click on "Create Account" link, and you can sign up from there.
Creating your account
- Go to AccessNYT.com and find "Connecticut State Community College"
- Use your college email* to create your account.
- Students: xxxxxxxxx@mail.ct.edu
- Faculty: xxxxxxxx@hcc.commnet.edu OR xxxxxxxx@housatonic.edu
- Click "Continue" and enter a new password.
- Select your status (student,faculty/staff) and graduation year if applicable.
- Click "Sign up"
- Check your college email for an activation link from the NY Times, and click on it to activate your pass
- When you've created an account, don't forget to add free access to The New York Times Cooking by using this link: Activate your NY Times Cooking access
