How can I access my textbook?

Answer

The Library keeps many current textbooks on Reserve.

Textbooks are for in-library use only and are not intended as a substitute for purchasing required books. The library does not purchase workbooks or lab manuals.

Textbooks all have a two-hour loan period and are for library use only. A $10.00 fine will be charged if a patron removes a textbook from the library and keeps it overnight. If a patron keeps a textbook overdue for more than 24 hours, he or she will no longer be allowed to return the book, and will be responsible for its full replacement cost.

Please present your student ID or other photo ID at the Circulation Desk to borrow a textbook to study from, make copies of, or scan.

The library also has a limited number of chapters from textbooks available digitally by clicking here.

Students can also purchase or rent textbooks from the Bookstore here: https://www.bkstr.com/housatonicccstore

In many cases, Financial Aid or Scholarships may be used to cover the cost of purchasing or renting textbooks, please refer to your Financial Aid package or contact the Financial Aid department at HC-FinAid@hcc.commnet.edu for details.
