I can't log in. My username and/or password aren't working. What should I do?

Answer

You may be unable to log in for several reasons:

  • Your account will lock if you have tried more than 3 times to log in. You can either reset your password, or wait 30 minutes for your account to unlock.
  • If you have forgotten your password, follow these directions to reset it. 
  • The library has 2 kiosks at which you can reset your password. You will need to have a smart phone with you.
  • If you have not completed the Multi-Factor Authentication, you will get an error message that says your organization needs more information. Use these directions to complete the authentication process. 
  • If you are not a current student or staff member, your account may not longer be recognized. Alumni can obtain a one-day log-in pass from IT in room 601.
