How would an Asnuntuck student or faculty member access library databases from home?
Asnuntuck student or faculty member can access library databases from home in much like they do on campus. Simply go to the library website and click the tab on top of the search box called "Articles/Databases." Once you've located the database you wish to use, click the name of the database.
The only additional step when accessing databases from home is this: after clicking the database link from the list on the library website, Asnuntuck students or faculty will be asked to provide their MyCTState credentials to verify themselves.
These credentials should only have to be provided once in a search session. So if an Asnuntuck student or faculty member clicked a second link to open up a different database after logging in, they should not have to log in again. The user will only need to log in again if the session is disrupted by signing out of the computer, shutting down the computer, or temporarily losing internet connection.
If you have any technical difficulties with accessing the databases from either location, please contact your librarians to help resolve the issue.
